2. Which data, why and on what legal basis
Contact form, e-mail and phone (enquiries and bookings)
- Data: full name, e-mail, phone number (optional), your message, and any further details you give us (travel dates, number of guests, etc.).
- Purpose: answering your enquiry, handling a room or table booking, preparing an offer (e.g. for catering).
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for general enquiries, our legitimate interest in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry or order. If a contract is concluded (e.g. a stay), we keep the related records for the period required by law (in particular accounting and tax rules); otherwise we delete the data.
Hotel guests
When you stay with us, we process the data that Czech law requires us to collect (guest register, local fees, and special obligations for foreign nationals). The legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and performance of the accommodation contract. We keep the data for the period set by the relevant regulations. We collect these details in person on arrival, not through the website.
Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Vercel. Each time a page is loaded, the server logs your IP address, time of access, the requested page and browser details for a limited period. This is necessary to run the site securely and reliably (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and analytics
The site uses only technically necessary means that do not require consent. Other tools (statistics and behaviour analysis) are switched on only after you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Vercel Analytics: traffic measurement without cookies and without tracking individual visitors across websites.
- Vercel Speed Insights: page load speed measurement, without cookies and without identifying visitors.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited): visitor statistics, uses cookies. Enabled only with your consent.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): anonymised session recordings and click heatmaps, uses cookies. Enabled only with your consent.
- Google Maps: some pages (e.g. Contact) embed a Google map. The map loads only after you click “Show map”. Only then does Google receive technical data about your browser and may set its own cookies.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Fonts are served from our own server, so your browser does not connect to any third party for them.
4. Who receives your data (processors)
We do not sell or publish your data. To run the website and communicate with you, we use:
- eValue.cz s.r.o. (Company ID 038 41 812, Jičínská 1616/29, 130 00 Prague 3): operator of the eCMS service behind our contact form. It stores your message and forwards it to our e-mail. Data is stored in the EU. E-mail delivery uses a Google service.
- Vercel Inc. (USA): website hosting and traffic measurement.
- Forpsi: domain and e-mail mailboxes (including received correspondence).
- Google and Microsoft: analytics tools and the map, only as described above.
If data leaves the EU/EEA (mainly to the USA), this happens on the basis of an adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data and obtain a copy of it,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have your data erased where the reason for processing no longer applies,
- restrict processing,
- data portability,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing).
You can exercise these rights by e-mailing hotel@hotelzetocha.czor by phone. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
6. Complaints to a supervisory authority
If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint:
- in the Czech Republic: the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7,
- if you live in Austria, you can also contact the AustrianDatenschutzbehörde (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna), which will pass the complaint on to the competent authority.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we introduce a new tool. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the last change is shown at the top.
